US tech firm Unosquare to double NI workforce in 2019

  • US tech company Unosquare has acquired 11,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of Belfast city centre as part of its plan to grow its Belfast employment from 50 people to 100 by the end of 2019.

Unosquare currently employs 50 people in Belfast, and plans to move to new office space in May Chambers situated in May Street to provide the space to grow the team to over 100 team members by the end of 2019. The thriving company also boasts offices in the US and Mexico, employing over 500 people globally. The development in Belfast will hopefully lead to increased company growth UK side and help to continue to build brand awareness and reputation.

"We have found incredibly talented and innovative individuals in Belfast, we continue to be committed to investing in the growth of our operations in Northern Ireland; through our new premises, the May Chambers building, we will double in size in the short term," explained Giancarlo Di Vece, CEO of Unosquare.

The letting agreement was delivered by Osborne King on behalf of Orby Investment, a firm that clearly isn't shy to working on large scale projects as it's also in the process of developing Erskine House. The 100,000 sq ft office development situated on Chichester Street is forecasted to be occupied by HRMC. Unosquare securing tenancy for Mays Chamber is positive news for Belfast, and it adds to Osborne King's already impressive portfolio of companies facilitated.
