New Collab Lab learning space created by Ulster University

  • Ulster University has opened a new creative learning space called the "Collab Lab" in its Coleraine campus.

    Ulster University is well known for the emphasis that the institution puts on creating a dynamic student environment and promoting a collaborative community culture on campus. Now the university has opened a new "Collab Lab" creative learning space to facilitate collaborative learning and creative thinking in its Coleraine campus.

    The new open space has undergone a complete transformation with students and staff having significant influence on renaming and designing process. The lab includes modern décor as well as emerging technology to ensure that the environment can be utilised by a wide range of users including staff and students as well as local businesses and charities. The aim of the space is that it will encourage innovation and local community, creating an environment that is welcoming and inspiring.

    "The Collab Lab is a fantastic addition to the world-class facilities at our Coleraine campus. This has been a project of collaboration between our students, staff and stakeholders to create a space that promotes an exciting, distinctive experience for staff and students as well as being meaningful for the local community," commented Professor Karise Hutchinson, Provost of the Coleraine Campus.
