Ballymena businesses kick off the year with BID for Business breakfast

  • The Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry ran its first BID for Business breakfast event of 2019 today, providing fantastic networking opportunities for local businesses.

Networking opportunities are essential to keeping local businesses up to date with what's going on around them and helping to build sustainable business peer networks for future prospects. No-one is more acutely aware of this than the groups that organise business networking events, such as Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry BID for Business breakfasts.

The organisation has kicked off the year with a very successful first event today. Organised on behalf of the Business Improvement District (BID) and in association with Ulster Bank, the breakfast event provided a networking workship for 40 people representing companies across the Ballymena area and the town centre. Attendees got a fantastic insight into each other's businesses, which will help them make decisions throughout the year.

Robin Cherry MBE, President of Ballymena Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told attendees: "I’m delighted to see such a good turnout at this morning’s event. The BID for Business breakfast is a fantastic networking opportunity that will allow you to showcase your business to others, whilst making new connections in the local area. It’s important that as a community, we work together and help each other and in doing so, we can grow the local Ballymena economy."

Conor McNeill, Business Development Manager at Ulster Bank, was keen to expound the benefits of networking events such as these, saying: "Networking is such an influential part of business life. At Ulster Bank, we are very proud to support events like the BID for Business breakfast and encourage networking amongst business peers, ultimately building up a sustainable and worthwhile business network."
