Neueda wins significant DAERA tech contract

  • Neueda, the Belfast headquartered international technology company has been awarded a major contract by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.

    DAERA has engaged Belfast-based tech firm Neueda to provide application development, testing and geographic information system (GIS) services with an aim to move 1.6 million transactions online annually. The contract that has been secured with DAERA is worth £21 million over a three-year period, and Neuda will headline the project that will also include tech companies Version1, SQS and Stiona.

    “It is an honour that DAERA has once again recognised the value and quality of our team’s technical skills to trust us as their digital partner for this highly complex and important project," said Brendan Monaghan, CEO of Neueda. Paul McGurnaghan, Director of Digital Services, DAERA, further commented, "We are delighted to be working with Neueda’s team of skilled specialists to support our digital transformation – an important piece of work aimed at making our operations more efficient and effective."

    The contract comes after a ten-year-long partnership with DAERA, and the securing of such a contract is of major significance to the business and is a positive encouragement to the team.
