Pearlai announces partnership with Queen’s Management School

  • Local retail technology firm Pearlai has announced a partnership with Queens University Management School.

Newry-based retail technology company Pearlai has been developing VIP loyalty smart technology in conjunction with several shopping centres throughout the UK for the past couple of years. The company's new platform involves providing customers with a VIP keyring that allows them to avail of various discounts and all year-round exclusive offers.

The loyalty system collects a great deal of data about consumer shopping habits, so the company has partnered with Queens Management School to develop that data with the help of finance lecturer Dr Barry Quinn and business analytics specialist Dr Byron.

“Working closely with local experts like Dr Quinn and Dr Graham at Queen’s Management School has provided new opportunities for the commercialisation of the data we collect through our product offering. It makes for exciting times in the retail technology space," stated Peter McCaul, CEO of Pearlai.

"Through the use of predictive modelling and analytics we have been able to help Pearlai better understand their data and have assisted in implementing processes to utilise the vast amount of retail data which their platform captures," positively commented, Dr Quinn, Lecturer in Finance, Queens University Belfast.
