Name revealed for £500m regeneration project in the heart of Belfast

  • Castlebrooke Investments has revealed the new name behind its world-leading £500 million regeneration scheme, which will deliver 1,500,000 sq ft of prime residential and grade A office space to the heart of Belfast.

Investment firm Castlebrooke Investments' has been leading a massive £500m regeneration project right in the heart of Belfast, planning to deliver 1,500,000 sq ft of prime residential space, Grade A office locations, retail outlets, and food and beverage space in the heart of Belfast city centre. The regeneration scheme is the largest of its kind currently underway and has just officially been given its name: Tribeca Belfast.

The name is in reference to the project's central location next to St Anne’s Cathedral as the triangle beside the cathedral. The ambitious regeneration scheme hopes to encapsulate the dynamic and ambitious place that Belfast has become, helping aspirational young adults to fulfill their desires of living centrally close to their workplaces and close to the nightlife of Belfast. Tribeca Belfast as an organisation has incorporated all of these needs into the development.

"The first phase of Tribeca Belfast will deliver two Grade A office buildings comprising in excess of 180,000 sq ft, one of which has been designed to international headquarter office standards. Additionally, the first phase will include 24 luxury apartments and ground floor food and beverage units,” explained Jonathan Mitchell, Director of Castlebrooke Investments.

Tribeca Belfast also values the traditions of Belfast paired with creating a new urban, dynamic environment. “Our aim is to transform the city centre through comprehensive regeneration putting Belfast at the forefront of British and European cities. On completion, the scheme will create a new urban realm that blends the area’s history with state-of-the-art design. It will provide 1,500,000 sq ft of best in class mixed-use space,” comments Neil Young, chief executive of Castlebrooke Investments.
