Tech giant Bazaarvoice seeking STEM graduates for DevOps Engineering Academy

  • US tech giant Bazaarvoice is continuing to expand its presence in Northern Ireland with 15 new DevOps Engineering positions. Applications are open now through the firm's new DevOps Engineering Academy.

Last year saw the exciting announcement that US tech firm Bazaarvoice had selected Belfast as the base for its European operations, with a new multi-million pound investment that promised to create 168 new graduate-level tech positions in the city. The company specialises in consumer-generated review systems and its clients include major firms such as Debenhams, Argos, and Philips.

This week Bazaarvoice launched its new DevOps Engineering Academy in collaboration with the Department for the Economy's Assured Skills initiative. The Academy will help experienced SysAdmins and new STEM graduates train into specialised DevOps Engineering roles, with an opportunity to join a Bazaarvoice team developing technological solutions to predict future consumer shopping habits.

Candidates will be paid £150 per week and travel expenses to attend a 10 week training course at Ulster University in January 2019, and successful candidates who make it through the course will be guaranteed an interview to apply for one of Bazaarvoice's new DevOps Engineering positions with a pay range of between £26k and £44k. The Academy training will include skills in Amazon Web Services, Python, Serverless technology, and containerisation.

Applications can be completed online and are due by December 5th. More information about the DevOps Engineering Academy can be found on the Department for the Economy website, and further details on the Assured Skills programme can be found at NIDirect.
