Two local tech firms have featured in a new business podcast from Ulster Bank.

Novosco and Moment Health are the first two businesses to be interviewed for the series from the bank called Start-Up Scale-Up.

Business journalist Jamie Delargy interviewed Novosco Managing Director Patrick McAliskey and Moment Health CEO Nuala Murphy for the series, which is being run with Belfast Live.

Patrick talked about his journey from leaving school with just six GCSEs to founding and growing one of Northern Ireland’s top IT businesses.

Nuala talked about Moment Health’s app which was one of the most popular health and fitness apps in the UK after it was launched and has a worldwide user-base.

You can listen to the podcasts via the small business centre on Belfast Live, or you can subscribe on platforms including iTunes, Spotify, TuneIn and Stitcher.

Commenting on the podcast, Ulster Bank Business Growth Enabler Lisa McCaul says: “We are committed to providing safe and secure banking to our customers and to help them grow and develop their businesses. Information, advice and hearing from other entrepreneurs is an important part of this.”

Cara Taylor, another Business Growth Enabler with the bank, says: “Working with Belfast Live on this aligns closely with our Boost initiative which is about helping business owners with insight and knowledge in specialist subjects by giving them access to things like local talks and educational events.”
