Belfast App Development & Software Agency is nominated at 26th Spider Awards in Dublin

  • One of Northern Ireland’s most forward-thinking digital agencies has been nominated for two awards at what is the longest-running digital awards event in Ireland. 

    Sugar Rush has been nominated for the Best Mobile App and Best Digital Team of the Year categories at the 26th Spider Awards in Dublin, aka ‘The Spiders’.

    The agency, which works for a lengthy list of names from a multitude of industries including music, TV, Manufacturing, Engineering, Education and much more, has, for 20 years, been guiding companies through unprecedented change in business, Software communications and Mobile App technology.

    It does this through the creation of future-fit digital products that solve real problems and realise opportunities. Those products include everything from Mobile Apps to custom software, most recently AR and VR immersive experiences. 

    No stranger to beckoning industry-respected accolades, Sugar Rush is the only Northern Ireland business to be nominated in its respective categories at The Spiders, which will be held in March at The Mansion House, Dublin.

    In the Best Mobile App 2023 category, the firm is being recognised for its work with Angling Direct, Europe’s largest online fishing retail supplier. Sugar Rush created a complementary Mobile App in parallel with Angling Direct’s successful eCommerce website using a formula that reflected online customer purchasing habits. The agency sits alongside Revolut and An Post among other organisations in this category. 

    Meanwhile, the Sugar Rush team is also up for Digital Team of the Year 2023 with competition coming from Dublin and Galway in this category.

    The Spiders are judged by some of Ireland’s leading tech experts, business leaders, luminaries and visionaries. The who’s who of the Irish online and digital sector.

    Sugar Rush won the Digital Transformation In Industry and Infrastructure 2022 gong at last year’s Spider Awards.

    The company, which was founded by Ali MacFarlane in 2003, has offices in Belfast city centre and East London.
